  • discusses key Scottish social and economic challenges and
  • explores options for introducing a Basic Income to Scotland.

What is a Basic Income? An Unconditional Basic Income would involve regular payments to all residents in a country, enabling them to control the balance between paid and unpaid work in their lives.

Keynote speaker: Guy Standing, co-founder of the Basic Income Earth Network, Professorial Research Associate at the School of Oriental and African Studies and internationally acclaimed author of groundbreaking books on work, security and the economy.
