MSc: Which Option Classes can I take?

The following option classes are planned for the academic year 06/07:

  • Ethical Enterprise
  • Food Culture & Agri-Culture
  • Spiritual Activism
  • Action Research
  • Sustaining Ecosystems
  • Ecopsychology
  • Independent Study Programme

These option classes are currently planned to run as follows:

In the first semester (27 Sept 05 to 20 Jan 06): Spiritual Activism, and Food Culture & Agri-Culture;

In the second semester (23 Jan 06 to 2 Jun 06): EcoPsychology, Introduction to Action Research, and Independent Study Programme.

Students studying towards the Postgraduate Diploma and the Master of Science in Human Ecology will choose three option classes.

Students studying full-time (ie planning to complete their studies in one academic year) will be able to choose from the above option classes.

Students studying part-time (ie planning to complete their studies in more than one academic year) will normally take their option classes in their second year of study. The option classes for 06/07 have not yet been scheduled, however we anticipate offering most of the above, plus some additional options.

At present we do not expect to have arrangements in place for students to take classes in other departments as optional classes. This may change in future.
