Nadia Johanisova was born in Prague and lives in a South Bohemian village.
She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Ecology from CHE.
Her
work as a biologist and ecological activist has led her to question the
assumptions behind economic theory and to study the impact of
conventional economic thinking on the environment and on social
relations. She has written and lectured on the ecology/economy
interface and teaches ecological economics at the South Bohemian and
Masaryk Universities. She is currently working on a comparison of Czech
and British social enterprise with the New Economics Foundation
(London) and on a project entitled Taming Capitalism? with the Vienna
Club, an Austrian inter-disciplinary think-tank. Nadia's homepage.
