I have found that without exception, everything I learned at CHE has proved immensely valuable.

Child Victims of War
Written by Centre for Human Ecology
Monday, 17 January 2005
Joanne Baker has been campaigning for many years on issues of human rights and environmental rights. She is a founding director of Child Victims of War, a charity set up in 2003 in response to the humanitarian tragedy in Iraq.

The aim is  to help and empower Iraqi children and their communities who have been affected by  the environmentally devastating legacy of war. Of particular concern is the use of cluster bombs and depleted uranium weapons.  Much of the charity’s support comes from individuals and grassroot groups in Britain. We are exploring issues of solidarity, responsibility and social justice. In fact ‘charity’ is a misnomer! Joanne is a graduate of CHE with an MSc in Human Ecology.
