Vérčne is course coordinator of the MSc, and she co-developped the Community Programme, working with marginalised communities across Scotland and enabling community activists to acquire skills in critical thinking, local community action and participative democracy.  

As a practicing human ecologist, she is particularly interested in the "Training for Transformation" approach, a worldwide movement and educational approach for transformation at individual, interpersonal, local and global levels.
