Human Ecology is making its mark
at the MSc course’s new home in Strathclyde University with the
formation of a Human Ecology society.
The society has been formed by current MSc student Hannah Judge Brown
who hopes it will take the human ecology message out to the wider
student and staff body at Strathclyde. It is hoped the society will act
as a forum for discussion, speakers and possible trips, with the
University’s clubs and societies support services helping to provide
funding for events. Hannah hopes to have the society approved before
the end of the year with an initial meeting before Christmas. At that
meeting she would like to see a sub-group formed to take ideas forward,
to get funding from the university and, hopfully, then have a program
from next term.
Hannah said: “I hope that it is set up in such a way that it can be
carried on by each year's intake and is secured as a Strathclyde
society that others from the university come to as well for a bit of
the Human Ecology perspective!” |
