CHE GRADUATE Michelle Sheather
will be delivering a short course in Strategic Campaigning in
Edinburgh, September 11th and 12th.
Michelle is a regular training consultant to Greenpeace International
and has delivered bespoke training to activists and organisations
internationally for over 20 years. Claire Carpenter is organising the
course through her business Creating Connections. Claire believes it
will provide an unmissable opportunity to share Michelle's vast
knowledge and skills during her brief visit to the UK this summer.
Claire, a graduate and Fellow of CHE, said: "Michelle delivered three
very
successful courses back in January last year. People came away saying
they had found it useful, helpful and inspirational and I'm convinced
September's event will be equally fantastic. We put this on because
there's nothing quite like it - mixing strategy theory and campaigning
tools - helping people to get their desired results, whatever the level
of campaign."
"It will help participants to understand how strategy and a good
campaign plan can effectively achieve desired goals. It will also help
people to formulate their own campaign strategies, specific to
different organisations' needs and situation, using a variety of tools
and techniques. On top of that there will also be bespoke support
during and after the course to enable people to take action on their
various strategies
during the next six to twelve months."
The course is aimed at project and organisation managers, campaigners
in NGOs charities, trade unions, local government service providers and
consultants delivering services to the Social Enterprise sector.
The course costs between £175 and £275 plus a limited number of
concessionary places. For more details contact Claire on 0845 4583211
