I want to block
Out the sound of voices,
of cars. I want to get away from
people. Away from manipulation.
Away from entanglement.
Away from emotion.
I want to dissolve into a
Deafening silence. I’ll crawl
Deep under the skin of the landscape.
Cocoon myself deep inside the
Mountain. I want to
Disintegrate into
This place
Completely.
I shed away
Memories. Push
Them outside, they
Accumulate in layers.
Slowly creeping down the
mountain, following contours.
Inches at first, soon thousands of
Feet thick. Where I scratch at
The burning under my skin,
Open seams of lava appear.
I recreate the landscape,
Make new mountains.
Unconquered, unchartered,
Your maps will be useless.
